The following esteemed individuals form the ShelterSol Finance Board of Directors:

MrGwasiraPicMr. Stephen Gwasira- Board Chairman

Mr. Gwasira is an experienced banker, having served for 25 years with the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe and nine years with Allied Bank. Received extensive exposure in banking through on the job training, participation in workshops and capacity building programmes, including attachments to international commercial banks, central banks and multi-lateral financial organisations (World Bank and IMF) as well as USA Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. He is a self-driven performer who served many reputable organisations at strategic management level. Mr. Gwasira is a holder of BSc Honours Degree in Economics (UZ), MBA (UZ) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers of Zimbabwe.

Mr. Matare has over 25 years of experience in the study, development and management of enterprises from micro, small, medium and large scale enterprises both at local and international level. He has also considerable experience in economic research and development with particular emphasis on sustainable income generating activities focusing on groups, cooperatives and social clubs. Overall experience is mainly in the provision of financial and non-financial services. He is a holder of BSC Honours in Economics (UZ) and Executive Masters of Business Administration (ESAMI).By profession Mr. Matare is an Economist. He is also a successful full time businessman.

MrMafongoyaPicMr. Takudzwa Josiah Mafongoya- Non Executive Director

Mr. Mafongoya is a registered and practising legal practitioner, conveyance and notary public with the High Court of Zimbabwe. He is proficient and diligent in various aspects and fields of law. He has more than 5 years of practising experience. He is Attorney at Law, LLBS (UZ) as well as a holder of Certificate in Software Engineering (Ansted-UZ).

 

 

 

 

Mr. George Gasseler- Non Executive Director

Mr. Gasseler is an affiliate of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and has experience in auditing, reviewing and analysing accounting systems. He also has vast experience in cost & management accounting, finanacial management, financial reporting, design and implementation of controls in a various industries that include construction, retail and manufacturing.

MrSitholePic3Mr Patison Sithole- Board Chairman

Mr P Sithole has more than three decades of solid business strategic management experience in Zimbabwe and the SADC region. His wide experience extends from manufacturing, wholesaling, finance, accounting and banking. Mr Sithole has numerous high level awards in the business management fraternity which include Zimbabwe Manager of the year 2004. He is former President of the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI) 2004-2006. He is a rich fountain of business management skills from technical, interpersonal up to strategic. He is a holder of Bachelor of Accountancy (UZ) and a Masters in Business Leadership (UNISA). By profession Mr Sithole is a Chartered Accountant.

Mr Sithole is highly motivated with a proven ability to develop people and commercialise all aspects of a business. He is experienced in changing the culture of a lethargic company to one which is dynamic and performance driven. Well networked and highly successful in implementing business process improvements, defining company direction, achieving goals, change and optimising business procedures.

Having gained this experience, it is Mr Sithole’s vision to ensure a sustainable ethos of leadership by contributing to suitable leadership roles that emerge in Zimbabwe. He strongly believes in sound corporate governance and accountability as a prerequisite for building trans-generational institutions that will serve society for foreseeable future.

Ms Precious Chakasikwa- Non Executive Director

Ms Chakasikwa is a Legal Practitioner, Notary Public and Conveyancer by profession with over 15 years in the legal fraternity. She has vast leadership skills. She is a holder of Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree (UZ) and Higher National Diploma in Marketing (LCCI). She is a member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights and Estate Administrators Association of Zimbabwe. She is a former member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe Council. Currently she is the Vice Chairperson of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights.  

 

 

 Mr Ticharwa Kagu - Group Chief Executive Officer

Mr Kagu has vast experience in strategic policy planning and implementation that spans over 20 years in public, private and voluntary sectors of Zimbabwe. Part of his experience was obtained from working in the Ministry of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing in various districts and ultimately at head office in various capacities  where he was part of the team that administered the National Housing Fund. Mr Kagu also strategically managed the Zimbabwe National Association of Housing Cooperatives (ZINAHCO) as Executive Director for 7 years.  During his tenure more than 800 housing units were constructed by ZINAHCO members countrywide under the CLIFF programme. He is a holder of a Masters in Business Administration Degree (ESAMI), Fellow member of Southern African Association of Accountants (SAAA), Certificate in Sustainable Community Development and Humanitarian Project Management, Certificate in Practical Monitoring and Evaluation of non-profit making projects (UZ) and Executive Certificate in Strategic HIV/AIDS Project Management (UZ). Mr Kagu is one of the key founding members of ShelterSol Holdings, and with him as its Group Chief Executive Officer, ShelterSol Holdings is geared to achieve its strategic objectives and become a leading provider of low cost, innovative and affordable housing solutions to home seekers with low to modest income in Zimbabwe.
